An antique sideboard and a fine example of the Royal warranted craftsmanship of the Scottish cabinetmakers Whytock and Reid of Edinburgh.
- Crafted in the finest mahogany with good colour and grain interest
- Exceptional proportion and build quality
- Raised on five gently tapering cabriole legs standing on pinched pad feet
- Carved knee detail to the centre leg, oblique outer legs
- Two pairs of flame mahogany cupboard doors on solid brass hinges
- Closing with cast brass rope loops operating twist locks
- Superior slide bolts locating into the solid framework
- Single board to top with lipped edge over pinched frieze
- Left hand cupboard features a pair of slides
- Right hand cupboard offering voluminous open storage
A fabulous sideboard in good order. Solid joints and construction, delivered waxed, polished and ready for the home.
