This is a vintage spirit Tantalus. A Danish, teak and glass bar caddy, dating to the mid 20th century, circa 1960.

• Appealing Scandinavian craftsmanship, with fascinating form and function
• Displays a desirable aged patina and excellent condition throughout
• Select teak stocks show fine grain interest and rich caramel hues
• Trio of glass decanters free of marks and in good order

• Pegged Tantalus clasp with integral handle an unusual feature
• Rakish triangle profile with gently chamfered edges
• Each decanter sits neatly within one of the three compartments

• Decanter sealed with a quality brass and cork stopper, replete with loop pulls
• Maker's emblems adorn each vessel, reading 'Holme Gaard, of Copenhagen'
• Brass maker's mark for Dyrlund inset within the Tantalus frame, repeated to the base of each decanter
• Dyrlund was a noted Danish cabinetmaker in the mid 20th century, with progressive designs
