This is a small vintage hallway rug. A Persian, woollen reception hall or prayer mat, dating to the late 20th century, circa 1980.
- Wonderfully contrasted palette of colours
- Displays a desirable aged patina and in overall clean order
- Dark blue woollen ground helps project the detail colour
- Secondary hues of vermillion, pink and cream
- Central medallion with distinctive motif and foliate forms
- Cloud-band pattern to be found at each corner
- Continuous diamond pattern border in pink and cream
- Bands of tassels to each end in good original condition
