This is a pair of vintage putti figures. A French, sculpted bronze over marble decorative cupid ornament after Auguste Moreau, dating to the Art Deco period, circa 1930.
- Charming cherub figures, with forlorn pose at rest
- Displaying a desirable aged patina and in good order
- Quality bronze figures, with deep grey-brown tonality
- Standing upon a polished circular, tiered marble base
- Sculpted after Auguste Moreau (1834 - 1917), with signature to base
- Captures the cherub resting upon his walking stick on a long journey by foot
- Dressed to the base with a protective green baize
- Good weight in the hand at 2.26kg and 2.12kg respectively (4.98 lb and 4.67 lb)
