This is a long, 17' 4" vintage Malayer runner. A Persian, woven hallway rug or carpet, dating to the mid 20th century, circa 1950.
- Impressively sized Kenareh runner at 82cm x 533cm (32.25" x 209.75")
- Displaying a desirable aged patina with minimal signs of wear or sun fade
- Tightly woven with naturally dyed light red ground and secondary palette with further natural hues
- Provides a pleasing, comfortable underfoot feel for the large entrance hall
- Located close to the Hamadan region, Malayer carpets are hand-woven in the traditional village manner
- Issuing a chased pattern of Herati - diamond motif decorated with flower heads and leaves
- Pair of slim continuous borders, the darker navy blue border with repeating leaf pattern
- Finished with bands of short, tightly arranged tassels to each end
