This is a large antique carved veranda bench. A Ceylonese, solid teak 3 seat ornate seat, dating to the Victorian period, circa 1880.

• Foliate decor plentiful, with striking relief carvings abundant across each surface
• Square section arms stand proudly upon a carved Ath Kadha Lihini of Sri Lankan mythology
  
  
• Seat edges host relief carved borders with attractive flowerheads to the corners
• Fascinating shaped aprons adorn the tiered seat edge, with foliate patera and leaf motif
• Standing upon prominent elephant front legs, canted and in the cabriole manner
• Square section rear legs adorned with pattern carvings below a decorative panelled rear
