This is an antique nightstand. A French, walnut and satinwood set of bedside drawers in Louis XVI taste, dating to the late Victorian period, circa 1900.

A visual treat for the bedroom or lounge with fine materials and finish
Displays a desirable aged patina and in good order throughout
Select walnut and satinwood present superb figuring and caramel hues
Brass gallery rail to the top edge displays golden tonality
Striking crosshatch marquetry to the top surface with ebonised stringing
Arranged as a trio of drawers, with superb dovetail joints and oak drawer boxes
Each dressed with an ornate ormolu lock escutcheon — in working order, with matched locks and key
Standing upon a quartet of fluted legs, with gilt collar finish and peg feet

This is a superb antique nightstand, beautifully presented in the Louis XVI manner. Ideal for between sofas within a lounge, or alongside the master bed. Solid joints and construction, delivered ready for the home.
