This is an antique ladies hobby table. An English, rosewood drop leaf sewing or parlour table, dating to the William IV period, circa 1835.

• Fascinatingly appointed sewing table with wonderful William IV craftsmanship
• Displaying a desirable aged patina and in good order
• Superb stocks show excellent grain interest throughout
• Warm caramel hues beam beneath a wax polish finish
  
  
• Drop leaf top extends usefully, supported by articulated flying arms
• Front drawer dressed with circular brass drop handles
• Drawer fascia and wool box dressed with inset brass lined locks — untested, key absent
• Interior offers a sliding divider tray, which can also be removed if required
  
  
• Faux drawer fascia to the reverse affords central room placement
• Sliding wool box accentuated with silk cotton upholstery in green and champagne hues
• Darling pattern with silk cotton flowerheads catch the light beautifully
• The pleasingly clean interior offering a generous storage space of 24cm (9.5'')
  
  
• Support stand crafted in a U-shaped surround to the wool box
• Column accentuated in relief with a superb acanthus and collar carving
• Circular drum base hosts exquisite hairy paw feet of deep undulations
• The whole riding smoothly upon a quartet of concealed castors
