This is an antique Kutani tea service. A Japanese, porcelain 6 person teapot and cups set, dating to the late Victorian period, circa 1900.
- Superb Japanese tea service, with delicate craftsmanship and decorative finish
- Presenting a desirable aged patina and in good, original order
- Tactile eggshell porcelain with translucence when held up to light
- Each piece decorated with a landscape scene of a river at the foot of Mount Fuji
- Comprising 22 pieces in total, offering a tea and cake service for six
- Teapot and milk jug crafted in a similar manner, with finial topped dome lids
- Set of 6 cups and saucers joined by 6 serving plates and two generous cake plates
- Red character marks to base of each plate and cup
