This is an antique decorative fire backrest. An English, cast iron fireplace back, dating to the Victorian period, circa 1900.

Charming cast, depicting a mounted rider and old English icons
Displays a desirable aged patina and in good order
Cast iron presents a good, consistent graphite finish
Central decorative panel with mounted flag-bearer
Adorned with a lion's head masque, dragon figures and decorative grapes
Indistinct engraving to reverse, along with K15 foundry mark
