This is an antique country house coal scuttle. An English, patinated copper fireside store or fuel keeper, dating to the Victorian period, circa 1870.

Delightfully weathered, adding character to the fireside
Displays a desirable aged patina throughout
Aged copper presents verdigris and metallic hues
Rolled handle mounted upon tri-form backplates with shaped handle to rear
Raised upon a tiered concentric foot of gently tapering form
