This is an antique decorative cheese keeper. An English, Jasperware serving dome in the manner of Wedgwood, dating to the early Victorian period, circa 1850.
- Alluring cheese keeper with attractive blue palette
- Displays a desirable aged patina throughout
- Distinctive Jasperware with white over blue ground
- Of generous size with provision for a truckle of Stilton of 2kg to 3kg in size (4.4 lb to 6.61 lb)
- Highly detailed acorn finial sits above the keeper lid
- Stylised foliate pattern to centre of lid with acorn leaf perimeter
- Cameo relief of putto adorns the circumference of the dome
- Rolled edge to base bears a repeat of the acorn branch relief
