This is a large vintage Bokhara rug. A Middle Eastern, woven hall or living room carpet, dating to the late 20th century, circa 1970.

Generously sized Qali at 308cm (121.25") x 217cm (85.5")
Displaying a desirable aged patina and in good original condition
Quality woven pile with red ground in the Tekke manner
Secondary hues of dark blue and cream add fine contrasting details
Plush finish offers an inviting underfoot comfort

Rows of ornate gul decorate the centrepiece to striking effect
Interspersed with decorative diamond pattern with smaller medallions
Broad tramline borders with foliate rosettes and smaller geometric patterns
Dressed with tassels to both ends displaying minor wear commensurate with age
