This is an antique stationery box. An English, golden oak and brass fall front desk tidy, dating to the Edwardian period, circa 1910.

• Beautifully figured desk box, with fine craftsmanship and great colour
• Displays a desirable aged patina and in good order throughout
• Striking golden oak bedazzles, with wisps of medullary rays adding further interest
• Tastefully dressed to the top and fascia with brass cappings, adding appealing tonality
  
  
• Arranged with a small drawer over the main compartment, with circular brass pulls
• The fall-front with a pierced brass lock escutcheon — in working order, key present
• Opens to a fitted interior, presenting the pen tray and document slides with articulation
• The pen tray lid is removable, adding further space for smaller items
• Engraved with a registered design number across the leading edge of the fall
