This is an antique elbow chair. An English, needlepoint over beech and mahogany morning room seat in Art Nouveau taste, dating to the late Victorian period, circa 1900.

- Displays a desirable aged patina and in good order
- Quality frame crafted in beech and mahogany with fine grain interest
- Stocks finished with attractive warm caramel hues
- Domed crest rail with prominent ears hosts an embroidered back rest
- Fretwork back splat with shaped centre is accentuated with boxwood stringing
- Foliate needlepoint adorns the back rest and seat cushion
- Set at a comfortable height of 41cm (16.25'') with a traditionally stuffed cushion
- Slender arms with tapered supports, gently swept out from the rear frame
- Chair standing upon a pair of cylindrical legs at the front
- Rear legs gently splay outwards with a square section form
- Legs united from side to side and across with turned stretcher rails
