This is a vintage tobacco box. A Portuguese, rosewood and satinwood keepsake case dating to the mid 20th century, circa 1940.

Beautifully presented lidded box, with appealing brightwork
Displaying a desirable aged patina and in good order throughout
Of fine quality, the solid stocks present rich caramel hues and fine grain interest
Interior makes attractive use of warm hued satinwood
Lid dressed with attractive white silver plated mounts with central plaque
Fretwork spells out the Portuguese word Tabaco
Distinctive tiered wavy edge finish creates a fascinating visual effect
Maker's mark to rear for Reis Filhos, Porto - established in the late 19th century
