This is a vintage pedestal table, a carved oriental Chinese elm side table or plant stand dating to the mid-late 20th century.
- Profusely carved with a rouge, wax, polished finish
- Classic oriental styling in good proportion
- Useful size for both display or as a sofa companion
- Broad top framed with a bands of lozenge decoration
- Pinched above a generous, pierced frieze
- Carved with fire breathing dragons
- Raised on stout, tapering cabriole legs
- Carved in the form of dragons rising
- United by a lower tier stretcher and standing upon scrolled feet
