This is a vintage Meshwani runner. A Caucasian, woven hallway rug or hall carpet, dating to the mid 20th century, circa 1960.
- Rich colour and of useful reception hall size at 64.5cm x 254cm (25.5" x 100")
- Displays a desirable aged patina with deep colour and free of fading or wear
- Striking red ground accentuated with an array of blue and light golden hues
- Offers a comfortable underfoot feel for the hallway
- Central panel presents five diamond medallions, decorated with smaller diamond motif
- Geometric patterns in deep blue frame each diamond framed by dark red triangular bridges
- Narrow blue border continues around the whole, whilst four bands decorate either end
- Dressed to each end with bands of short, tightly packed tassels
