This is a vintage maritime commemorative salver. An English, silver plated display tray with personal inscription and Merchant Navy interest, dating to mid 20th century, circa 1950.
- Unusual and fascinating engraving ideal for those with maritime interest
- Displays a desirable aged patina and in good original order
- EPNS 'Treasury' silver plating presents a pleasingly bright, reflective appearance
- Rim adorned with small flowerhead castings to the circumference
- Personalised inscription to front fascia from a ship's captain to an onboard couple
- The MV Trelyon was a Merchant Navy ship operating in the post-war period
- Gives the name of Captain James Cornish, M.B.E and the recipients Faye and Horace
- Presented onboard in 1951 whilst the ship was docked in Queensland, Australia
