This is a vintage Maimana Kilim rug. A Middle Eastern, woven hall mat, dating to the mid 20th century, circa 1970.

Of useful entrance hall or doorway size at 79cm (31'') x 143cm (56.25'')
Displaying a desirable aged patina and in good order
Woven without pile, a Maimana can be laid either side up
Colourful geometric patterns a hallmark of the region's carpets
An array of coloured diamonds within a white sawtooth border
Further decorated with an hour glass border and short, loose tassels to both ends
