This is a vintage Maimana Kilim hall runner. A Caucasian, decorative hallway carpet or rug, dating to the late 20th century, circa 1990.
- Usefully sized runner at 61cm (24'') x 200cm (78.75'')
- Displaying a desirable aged patina and in good order
- Artisan hand-crafted using traditional skills with minimal wear or fading
- Maimanas are woven without pile, ideal for laying either side
- Distinctive geometric patterns a hallmark of this region's carpets
- An array of coloured diamonds with a broad white outline create a centrepiece panel
- Further decorated with a sawtooth border in alternating colours and short, loose tassels to both ends
