This is a vintage dried flower vase. A Chinese, waxed paper over board decorative drum vase, dating to the late 20th century, circa 1970.

Striking colour and gilt decor accentuates the Chinoiserie appeal
Displays a desirable aged patina throughout
Vibrant crimson red waxed paper shows light signs of loss to edges
Decorative river scenes adorn the unusual form, with black and gold finish
Removing the lid shows a charming lined interior with figural scenes
