This is a vintage draughtsman's instrument set. An English, brass drawing or navigation tool compendium by Henry Hughes & Son, dating to the mid 20th century, circa 1940.

- Engraved with the H. Hughes & Son Ltd maker's mark

- Finished with an unmarked nameplate to lid
- Dressed with distinctive inset shield lock escutcheon — key absent
