This is a vintage decorative cooking pot. A West African, terracotta plant stand or jardiniere, dating to the mid 20th century, circa 1950.

Warm natural colours and pleasingly tribal decoration
Displaying a desirable aged patina - one light firing crack to bowl under closer visual inspection
Terracotta beams reddish-orange hues with lighter detail colour and contrasting black borders
In two parts, the demi-lune bowl sits within the hollowed stand
Semicircular panels and bands of grooved patterns add visual and tactile interest
