This is a vintage Admiral Fitzroy Barometer. An English, oak and glass scientific instrument with atmospheric dials by Reynolds & Branson of Leeds, dating to the early 20th century, circa 1930.

  • Tall oak case shows fine grain interest and rich russet hues
  • Admiral Robert FitzRoy undertook meteorological surveys on ships including HMS Beagle

  • Crafted by many companies, this particular example marked for Reynolds & Branson, Leeds
  • Annotated in eye-catching fonts with decoration in Gothic taste
  • Fine detail to each section adds real interest - the mountain range illustration a prime example
