This is a '30s vintage red leather jewellery box.

In ruby red leather this petit jewellery box has a strap handle, lock without key and brass lock escutcheon.

The top lifts on the original brass lever hinges and inside is lined with dark red velvet and the satin. A removable tray reveals deeper compartmentalised storage beneath.

Delightful, period piece.
