Victorian Walnut Reading Table, c.1880 - London Fine Antiques - 1

Victorian Walnut Reading Table, c.1880

Our Stock # LFA-1397

This is an antique adjustable reading table dating to the late Victorian era c.1880.

A good quality piece of furniture from the renowned, London manufacturer Leveson & Sons, this reading table offers adjustable heights, table angles and a further 'pop up' book rest.

The walnut construction is solid with good colour and patina throughout and rides upon the original ceramic castors.

The stout ring turned column placed at one end provides an easy, ratcheted height adjustment next to the makers name plate that reads 'Leveson & Sons, 90, New Oxford St, W.O., & 7, Park Side, Knightsbridge, London. & at Manchester, Liverpool & Leeds'.

Superb quality and a stunning piece presented in good antique condition. Solid joints and construction. Delivered waxed & polished ready for the home.
