Victorian Tilt Top Breakfast Table, c.1870
Our Stock # LFA-1267
This is an antique, Victorian tilt top table dating to c.1870.
Finished in beautifully figured flame mahogany with a deep, mirror shine, the top is detailed with chamfered, edge carving to the four sides above a recessed apron.
Running on the original brass and china castors, the four swept cabriole legs terminate in deep carved scrolls and support the quartet of gadrooned risers that are elegantly tapered and triple turned.
In true Victorian excess, the central mount features elaborate finials to the top and bottom of this magnificent table base that supports the top and remains stable and secure in both positions.
A fine finish and massively decorative piece delivered waxed, polished and ready for the home.
