Victorian Oak Dresser, c.1900
Our Stock # LFA-1260
This is an antique, Victorian, country kitchen dresser dating to c.1900.
Substantial in form with honey tones in the English oak that display medullary rays and good grain figuring throughout, this country piece offers generous storage and bags of charm.
Raised on a shaped plinth the peg jointed, lower section features twin cupboards with later working locks and keys and forged, scrolled, iron door hinges. Above a pair of large oak lined drawers are dressed with hand forged, iron drop handles beneath a stout, solid surface with plate rail to the centre rear.
The panel backed, upper section sits on the cupboard with wider central shelves flanked by twin outer shelves with serpentine fronts. The shaped, decorative swags are topped by a sizeable crown moulding bringing balance to this large piece.
Solid joints and construction, delivered waxed, polished and ready for the home.
