This is a very large antique partner's desk. An English, mahogany and leather twin pedestal desk by Maple & Co, dating to the Edwardian period, circa 1910. 

• Exceptional proportion and arrangement to this grand desk
• Displays a desirable aged patina and in good order
• Select stocks present fine grain interest and rich caramel hues
• Inset leather skiver to the top, embossed to the edge with repeat pattern

• The wide top supported upon a pair of deep pedestal bases
• Arrangement of drawers across the upper fascia with a double wide centre drawer
• Dressed with brass drop handles over distinctive shaped backplates
• Locks fitted throughout, in working order — set of four keys present

• Pedestal accentuated with field panels to the ends and to the cabinet door
• At the reverse of each pedestal, a bank of three graduated drawers
• One central drawer replete with the Maple & Co maker's emblem
• Finished with continuous plinth bases over inset castors
