This is a vintage four fold privacy screen. A Japanese, lacquer and soapstone Art Deco revival room divider, dating to the late 20th century, circa 1970. 

• Striking screen with wonderfully deep lacquer tones and appealing decor
• Displays a desirable aged patina throughout, extending smoothly
• Lacquer ground hosts ornate detail to each panel

• Front fascia adorned with relief birds and medallions of foliate interest
• Each bird and vase motif skilfully carved into relief from individual soapstone pieces
• Reverse hosts a quartet of panels with flying birds in a gilt outline
