This is a tall antique overmantle mirror. A German, giltwood bevelled wall mirror, dating to the late Victorian period, circa 1900.

Striking golden tonality with a generously sized mirror plate
Displaying a desirable aged patina with original light foxing
Striking frame presents fascinating decorative forms in warm gilt hues
Quality mirror plate with broad bevel and a clear, bright appearance
Shield surmount with foliate relief to the crest standing proudly above the plate
Upper corners adorned with prominent Eagle heads, the plumage in the form of oak leaves
Leaves adorn the lower corners in a graceful scroll form with wreath to centre
Dressed to the rear with hanging wire for ease of mounting

This is a superb antique overmantle mirror, graced with a wonderful mirror plate and great colour to the show frame. Delivered ready for the wall.
