This is a small antique footstool. An English, walnut and embroidered textile low fireside footrest, dating to the early Victorian period, circa 1840.

Beautifully presented with a palette of attractive colours
Displaying a desirable aged patina and in good order
Walnut frame presents deep caramel hues and fine grain interest
Traditionally stuffed cushion upholstered with needlepoint embroidery
Delightful foliate decoration to the tapestry, with braided piping and brocade trim
Standing upon a quartet of squat cabriole legs with broad knees and sash aprons

This is an eye-catching antique footstool, low of profile and graced with fine colour. A treat for the fireside or at the foot of a low chair. Solid joints and construction, delivered ready for the home.
