This is a small antique footstool. An English, needlepoint tapestry stool, dating to the early Victorian period, circa 1850.

Charming antique stool with diminutive proportion
Displaying a desirable aged patina - presented with good textile order
Tightly woven needlepoint tapestry free of tears or marks
Subdued green and golden tones form an eye-catching geometric pattern

Each octagonal panel decorated with small spring flower motif
Front fascia adorned with small gilt beads in the manner of compass points or stars
Raised upon a quartet of squat bun feet to a comfortable foot height
