This is a set of six antique dining chairs. Continental, painted kitchen chairs upholstered in crewelwork needlepoint tapestry cloth and dating to the mid 19th century, circa 1850. 

• In the original paint finish exhibiting a fine aged patina
• Solid and stable and suitable for daily use
• Generous and comfortable seat height at 51cm (20.1 inches)

• Pierce carved crest rail over tall padded seatback
• Flanked by columns rising from the comfortable 'stuff-over' seat pads
• Upholstered in a quality crewelwork cloth with very light signs of use

• Shaped seat rail over slender cabriole legs to the front
• Swept rear legs with high-level stretcher and robust 'H' stretcher below
• Standing upon stylised square feet
