This is a set of 6 antique shield back chairs. An English, mahogany and leather dining seat with Hepplewhite taste, dating to the Georgian period, circa 1800.

• Standing upon tapering front legs, narrowing to an arrow foot
• Gently splayed rear legs of square section arc gracefully from the back rest

This is a superb set of 6 antique shield back chairs. In the manner of Hepplewhite, the attractive back rests are delicately carved with fine detail and form. The existing aged leather presents a charming character - the seating is supportive and comfortable. Solid joints and construction, delivered waxed, polished and ready for the home.
