This is a set of 6 antique dining chairs. An English, oak seat in the manner of Liberty, dating to the late Victorian period, circa 1900.
- Dashing colour, figuring and finish sets apart this dining suite
- Displaying a desirable aged patina throughout
- Select oak shows fine grain interest and rich caramel hues
- Original Rexine covered drop-in seats with dark green palette
- Presented with overtones of Art Nouveau and the burgeoning Arts & Crafts movement
- Shaped and pierced top rail set within tall supports
- Reverse banjo back splat with arrow shaped piercing
- Each comfortable seat pad in good order, having aged gracefully
- Beneath the shaped front apron, two tapering legs terminate in broad spade feet
- Gently splayed, the square section rear legs proceed from the side rails
- Unmarked as such, each seat displays a quality associated with Liberty of London
