This is a pair of vintage hexagonal spice jars. Two Oriental, ceramic baluster urns with decorative avian and foliate scenes, dating to the mid-20th century, circa 1950.
- Hexagonal form with profuse decoration
- Displaying a desirable aged patina
- Ceramic and glaze in good order - commensurate with age
- Domed lid with rich golden finial and gilt, rolled edge
- Painted birds presented upon a white background with foliate detail
- Contrasting panels of green vines and blue flowers against a distinctive capsicum red
- Vase neck decorated with a continuous band of blue foliate wreath
- Blossom flower and bugle horn maker's marks feature upon the base
