This is a pair of Chinese mahogany chairs dating to the mid 20th century.
Exceptional quality as one would expect from George Zee and Co, this pair of chairs are fashioned in the traditional style in the best quality timber to the highest standard.
Raised on square section legs with typical in-turned toes the subtly shaped seat rails support the solid seat panel. Removable cushions in complimentary tones supplied.
The glorious horseshoe armrests extend in a continuous sweep and arc downwards from the crest rail terminating in a blacksmith's pinch. The arms are supported by rests extending from the rear corners giving stability whilst offering visual appeal and adding interest to the form.
The back splat in perfect proportions gently curves for comfort and features a lined pierced fret to the upper section.
