This is a pair of antique hall seats. A Scottish, dark stained pine side chair in Jacobean revival taste, dating to the Edwardian period, circa 1910.
- Strong heraldic overtones with appealing colour
- Displaying a desirable aged patina and in good order
- Dark stained pine shows fine grain interest and deep russet hues
- Attractive chestnut hues to the stretched leather seat and back rest
- Prominently carved upper rail with coat of arms detail
- Open lower back, framed with fluted stiles to each side
- Leather slips dressed with gilt metal foliate heads
- Square section legs to front and rear, decorated with foliate patera to knee
- Stretcher rail to fore with shaped lower edge, detailed with circular medallions
- Sash carved rails united front to rear with straight stretcher rail to rear
