This is a pair of antique book stands. An English, oak A-frame folio rest or recital stand in the manner of the Cotswold School, dating to the early 20th century, circa 1920.
- Delightfully finished with the grace and quality associated with the Cotswold School
- Displaying a desirable aged patina and in good order throughout
- Select oak presents fine grain interest and wisps of medullary rays
- Rich caramel hues beam beneath a quality, wax polish finish
- Distinctive A-frame form, rising to a domed apex over a serpentine rear support
- Lower folio rest with raised support, useful for holding open books
- Will also provide attractive service as music recitals stands or for reading speeches
- Base finished with a protective emerald green baize
