This is a long vintage Karajar runner. A Persian, woven entrance hall carpet, dating to the early 20th century, circa 1930.
- Of great length for the hallway at 105cm x 395cm (41.25" x 155.5")
- Displaying a desirable aged patina with historic sun fade and form
- Tightly woven with natural red pile and decorated with a green and gold secondary palette
- Offers a pleasingly comfortable underfoot feel
- Presenting 11 gul or medallions to centre in alternating pattern
- Incidental detail with bird motif and palmette flourishes to the ground
- Continuous geometric borders in cream and dark blue with colourful detail
- Dressed with bands of loose, neat tassels at either end
