Late Regency Oak Wine Table, c.1830
Our Stock # LFA-1326
This is a late Regency wine table dating to c.1830.
A superior example of a provincial table, this piece is raised on a classic tripod of swept legs with a typical 'bump' at the reeded knee that sweeps down to rest upon miniature bun feet.
Anchored in a tulip cup, the hexagonal, tapered column rises into a turned support offering a stable platform for the oblong top with moulded edge that overhangs a rebated frieze detail stepped out at the corners.
The oak displays beautifully with excellent grain detail and rich, deep hues of russet browns consistent throughout.
Good proportion, excellent condition and a delightful piece, delivered waxed, polished and ready for the home.
