This is a large vintage partner's desk. An Oriental, applied bamboo pedestal writing desk, dating to the mid 20th century, circa 1960.
- Profusely detailed and striking in its appearance
- Displays a desirable aged patina
- Surfaced applied bamboo vigourously patterned with cross hatch detail
- Rich caramel hues beam beneath a wax polish finish
- 'Pagoda' ends add a distinctive touch to the wide, deep top
- Four useful drawers inset from the main pedestal - two per side
- Unusual arrangement with cabinet doors to one side and suite of drawers on the reverse
- Brass fittings dress each opening, with shaped loop handle to drawers
- Cabinet doors with dashing bracket hinges create and oval motif
- Useful shelf to each cabinet, doors held with sliding latches
- The whole raised upon a continuous plinth foot to each pedestal
- 360-degree finish affords central room placement
