This is a large antique under bed storage chest. An English, walnut country house trunk, dating to the Victorian period, circa 1880.

Superb craftsmanship, with a luxuriant colour and generous proportion
Displays a desirable aged patina and in good order throughout
Select walnut stocks present fine grain interest and rich caramel hues
Corners delightfully accentuated with multiple through dovetail joints
