This is a large antique copy of Don Quixote by Cervantes. Published in English by Cassell & Company and illustrated by Gustave Doré, dating to the late Victorian period, circa 1890. 

Delightfully substantial, this large volume hosts the English translation of the classic 'History of Don Quixote' by the Spanish writer Miguel de Cervantes (1547 - 1616). A literary staple, presented here with a biography by T. Teignmouth Shore (1841 - 1911) and fascinatingly illustrated with etchings by Gustave Doré (1832 - 1883) the French painter and illustrator.
