This is a large antique blanket coffer. An English, oak chest or window seat with Gothic revival taste, dating to the Edwardian period, circa 1910. 

• Pleasingly presented in the Gothic manner and of great proportion
• Displays a desirable aged patina and in good order
• Select oak shows fine grain interest throughout
• Rich caramel hues beam beneath a wax polish finish

• Generous in width, ideally suited as a window seat
• Three panel lid opens to reveal the two chamber interior
• Inset lock beneath the lid edge — untested, key absent
• Field panel carvings adorn the front fascia with alternating pattern
• Raised upon four square legs with tapering plinth feet

This is a superb antique blanket coffer, with generous proportion and attractive finish. Of great height and width for occasional use beneath a large window or storage for the living room. Solid joints and construction, delivered waxed, polished and ready for the home.
