Georgian Demi-Lune Card Table, c.1760
Our Stock # LFA-1272
This is an antique, Georgian, demi-lune, fold over card table dating to c.1760
Raised on tapered square section legs, inset with ebony string detail, and terminating in spade feet, the apron features the most wonderful figuring to the panelled decoration. The top with a fabulous sheen to the burr mahogany is encompassed by cross-banded kingwood defined by boxwood and ebony stringing.
To the rear, flying gate legs turn out to support the fold over top that reveals a delightful 'plum' tooled leather interior ‰ÛÒ rare to find as most are baize and this one of particularly fine quality. The blind tooling dividing and defining eight segments around the perimeter.
