This is a classic four foot, late Georgian, mahogany, English chest of drawers dating to c.1790.
The eight drawers of this large chest of drawers or tallboy are arranged '3 over 2 over 3' and offer generous storage in an elegant and practical form.
The uppermost drawers are cross-banded with ebonised veneer detailing and feature button handle pulls. Slim and elegant the three drawers add to the visual appeal as well as practicality.
The lower drawers feature bone escutcheons and later brass handles with all drawers featuring oak linings.
The whole stands atop bracket feet and has a wonderful colour and patina and would sit equally well in a fine drawing room as it would in a dressing area.
Superb quality and a stunning piece presented in excellent antique condition. Solid joints and construction. Delivered waxed & polished.
