George III Mahogany Tea Table, c.1800
Our Stock # LFA-1271
This is an English, antique, George III fold over tea table dating to c.1800.
Understated and elegant, this is a quality table made in well figured mahogany with a beautifully aged patina. The top displays well with a modest half round edge detail and hinges open on the original brass butterfly hinges.
The rear flying leg opens smoothly to support the open top and, in doing so, reveals a secret, small, hidden drawer dressed with turned pull ‰ÛÒ ideal for coasters or playing cards.
The well proportioned frieze unites the top with the square section legs that feature a subtle, Chippendale style rear chamfer.
A super antique in good order throughout, delivered, waxed, polished and ready for the home.
